Project Improvement of the Working Environment of Bulgarian Posts Plc 

Project Goals:

• Financing of activities and measures for improvement of working conditions in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria.
• Improvement of the working environment factors: indoor climate, noise, lighting, safety, sanitary and hygienic conditions in compliance with statutory health and safety requirements.

Target Groups:

• Postal employees who work at post offices in the cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Kazanlak and Lovech.
• 240 employees.

Working Conditions Fund at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy

Fund Activity Program for 2016, adopted by the National Council on Labour Conditions

• Reconstruction and modernization of existing sites.
• Replacement of power and lighting installations.
• Replacement of heating and air-conditioning systems.

Results:

• Improvement of working conditions in 5 sites following construction works: Post Office Sofia 36, Lyulin III residential area; Post Office Plovdiv – Centre; Post Office Varna 10, Drujba Str. 4; Post Office Kazanlak – Centre; Post Office Lovech – Centre.
• Replacement of joinery, refreshment of walls and floors, replacement of lighting (Plovdiv, Varna and Kazanlak), heating (Sofia and Varna), air-conditioning (Plovdiv and Varna) and water supply installations (Plovdiv, Varna, Kazanlak and Lovech).
• Improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions.
