The postal operator of Ukraine, Ukrposhta, has informed that the ongoing military actions have been resulting in civilian casualties and the destruction of civil, energy and postal infrastructure in Ukraine. Over 2,500 Ukrposhta facilities (including 1,600 post offices) and more than 500 vehicles are now unusable owing to damage or are under the temporary control of the Russian Federation. Ukrposhta are experiencing serious difficulties due to the absence of electricity, heating and internet connections, but they continue to operate. In the absence of air transport, Ukrposhta has rebuilt its international logistics network using road line haul and trains to convey postal items to and from airports outside Ukraine.
Тhe processing and delivery of shipments to and from Ukraine are subject to significant delays.
The postal operator does not provide services in the areas under the temporary control of the Russian Federation, and does not accept any postal items from those areas. Based on the current military situation, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine regularly updates the list of Ukrainian territories where hostilities haven taken or are taking place and territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation (https://minre.gov.ua/).
