PARCELS
A postal parcel is a postal item of specified dimensions and weight, usually containing goods with or without commercial value.
Postal parcels are domestic (from/to the country) and international (originating from or destined for another country). Postal parcels have the following size and weight restrictions:
Domestic
The dimensions of cumbersome parcels exceed certain dimensions either in their shape or structure, do not allow for easy loading together with other parcels, or require special care.
International

It is a mandatory requirement for submitted parcels to be packed according to the weight and contents of the parcel.
Parcels are accepted open for the purpose of checking the contents.
The acceptance of international parcels is subject to all customs control and customs clearance regulations, as well as the requirements for prohibited articles and articles accepted under certain conditions.
Customs control and customs clearance of international items are carried out under the Customs Act and the regulations for its implementation.
When submitting parcels, please note that they cannot contain objects and substances prohibited for insertion in postal items.

Method of addressing postal items
Domestic postal items and money transfers are addressed in the Cyrillic alphabet, and international postal items – in Latin letters and Arabic numerals.

Prohibitions
NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE SENT BY POST! Some goods cannot be sent by post. Others can only be sent under certain conditions.

Please read the information below to find out what you are allowed to send in an international item. Please note that you are responsible for restricted or prohibited substances and goods inserted in your postal items. The requirements below cover all international postal services provided by Bulgarian Posts Plc for sending postal items.

If for any reason your item is confiscated or detained by the customs or security services authorities, you will lose your right to compensation!
Attach an invoice
In the case of commercial items, make sure that you attach an invoice. This can be easily done by using special self-adhesive envelopes, which can be attached to the item. In most cases, attaching an invoice will prevent your item from being opened by customs officials /for deliveries outside the European Union/.
Addressing
To avoid unnecessary delays, please make sure that your item is addressed correctly.
Please add the recipient's phone number and/or email address when addressing your postal item. This will allow the local postal operator (in some countries) to contact the recipient more quickly.

Prices
The prices of the services within the scope of the universal postal service are exempt from VAT in connection with the requirements of the Value Added Tax Act, as of 1 January 2007.
